The works of the "Exploration of the Deep Sea" are telling
about a plunge into inner worlds, meeting their strange inhabitants.
In this universe, vegetal, animal and human life-forms are mixing
up as well as biology and legend.
A publication in two languages (German/French) tries to report about
the winding paths of deep-sea research and mermaid studies.
In the beginning of the "heros and ancestors"
was the idea to visualize the key-figures who are haunting my imagination.
Some of them are like patrons, inspirators, others personify special,
familiar moods. The ancestors are secret characters, hidden in the
depth of memory.
I imagine the beholder to play a game - I would like him or her to
choose a personal patron, to look for cousins and ancestors, to discuss
with his lonesome wolf; his sleepless rabbit or tramping goat.
